Access Control System and Network Technician
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
Configure Habitap’s hardware equipment (including but not limited to, Access Control System, Intercom System, CCTV System, Smart Home devices) and related networking equipment (i.e. modem, network switches, routers, range extenders etc)
Install Habitap’s hardware equipment and networking equipment, including termination/crimping of cables
Install data/ELV cables (i.e. Cat6/Cat7/16 to 26 AWG cables), power cables (i.e. 1.5mm and 2.5mm cables) and PVC/metal cable tray/conduits/trunking
Testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of all Habitap’s hardware equipment
Conduct preventive maintenance checks, including submission of maintenance reports
Assist project team and sales team at site surveys visits to construction sites and completed sites to work out the project requirements for network, electrical work and hardware equipment
Assist customer support team with onsite troubleshooting, including submission of service completion reports
Requirements
- Diploma or ITE certification in any Electrical & Electronic, Mechatronic, Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT) or Electronics & Computer course from a recognised polytechnic or ITE
- At least 2 years experience working with ELV systems such as Access Control System, Intercom System, CCTV System
- Able to handle wiring works for Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) cables and mains 230VAC cables
- Able to understand technical symbols and wiring schematics
- Able to work with supplies, equipment and tools such as paint, putty, silicon sealant, digital/analog multimeter, test pens, hammer drills, angle grinder and ladder
- Possess a good command of spoken English
- Able to communicate technical knowledge to a lay person in a clear and concise manner
- Able to work at night and during the weekends, when required
- Having a Class 3 or Class 3A driving license is a plus
